USC uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service. We use no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies. Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (and Article 4(5) of Romanian Law 506/2004), such cookies do not require consent; the banner informs you about them.

Course videos. Some study materials are videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. They are loaded only when you press play on a video; from then on, that service may set its own cookies or use similar technologies under its own policy (YouTube videos are loaded in its privacy-enhanced mode, Vimeo videos with "do not track"). Nothing is loaded from these services unless you press play. Links to other websites open those sites, which have their own policies.
Online classes. For classes held online, the teacher can show enrolled students a link to Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex or a similar service on their account page. It opens only when you press "Join the online class"; the meeting takes place on that service, under its own terms, privacy and cookie policies, not on this site.
